We are a public benefit corporation. The same light that turns a living room into an evening people remember does its most important work in rooms nobody chooses to be in.
Our mission
Bliss Productions exists to design, develop, and deliver immersive sensory environments, experiences, products, and technologies that promote human connection, accessibility, emotional well-being, engagement, education, and community enrichment.
We pursue that mission through commercial work, research, creative development, and public and private partnerships, with mission-driven initiatives intended to expand access to transformative experiences for underserved and diverse populations.

The people behind the light
A small crew: an inventor who has spent a lifetime on light, and the operators and producers who turn it into rooms and evenings people remember.

Cathy
Co-owner
Cathy combines experience from the founding team of BlissLights, where she helped grow the company from its first single-color star field to Disney experiential installations, with 15 years in international marketing and distribution. She also helped scale a startup through its acquisition by DHL. Drawing on more than 30 years of yoga practice and over two decades of study in contemplative traditions, Cathy is passionate about creating immersive lighting experiences that foster connection, well-being, and a sense of wonder.

Randy Johnson
Inventor · Co-founder of Bliss Lights
Legendary inventor and co-founder of Bliss Lights, Randy has been working with light and lasers from an early age and has never stopped. He continues to invent and create new lights, lasers, and experiences as a member of the Bliss Productions team.

Adam
Operations
Adam is a U.S. Navy veteran with over 9 years of experience in product management, building and scaling products from physical devices to enterprise software across startups and Fortune 500 companies alike. He brings that same discipline and hands-on ownership to Bliss Productions, where he manages day-to-day operations alongside a small, dedicated team bringing immersive lighting experiences to facilities, healing spaces, and events.

Temple is a Financial Services student at San Diego State University with a passion for entrepreneurship, investing, and building meaningful experiences through business. At Bliss Productions, he supports event production, business development, and strategic planning, helping create seamless and memorable experiences for every event. Outside of school, he enjoys endurance training, automotive projects, and creating content that inspires others to pursue ambitious goals.

Mikah
Event planning · Production
Mikah is a third-year business student planning to transfer to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the fall to continue his studies in business planning and entrepreneurship. At Bliss Productions, he supports the planning, production, and execution of immersive events, combining his passion for music with a focus on creating memorable experiences for clients and their guests. His background in DJing and music lets him thoughtfully shape the atmosphere of each event, turning spaces into engaging and meaningful environments. Outside of Bliss Productions and school, he enjoys surfing, playing soccer, and tinkering with automotive projects. He brings a creative mindset, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to everything from planning an event to tackling a new project.
A public benefit corporation
We are committed to the positive impact of our activities on society, individuals, communities, and the environment, and we hold that commitment formally rather than informally. Bliss Productions partners with Grassroots Aid Partnership (GAP), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and is able to receive tax-deductible contributions in support of mission work, like bringing light experiences to children in hospitals.
